  • Graduates set their sights on new horizons in maritime sector
    MAC has underlined its commitment to fostering new talent with the appointment of three graduates to its growing team of specialists. The three completed their studies in electric engineering and naval architecture at Strathclyde University before relocating to Aberdeen to join the MAC team, adding fresh faces and new ideas to the expertise of our existing team.   • MAC clinches EnQuest contract
    MAC has signed an agreement with EnQuest to provide marine warranty services (MWS) for the Kraken field development, one of the largest current development projects in the UK North Sea. MAC will work closely with EnQuest to review all operations, ensuring they are properly engineered and planned in line with agreed codes and industry standards; and then insure they are executed in accordance with the agreed procedures utilising vessels and equipment suitable for the operation from the planning stage through to the completion of the scope of work over the next three years.     MAC has taken the next significant step in the company's growth strategy with its first appointment in the USA. Chad Fuhrmann has joined as Business Director, Americas, with a remit to focus on developing MAC's business in the Gulf of Mexico - building on existing relationships with clients in the US and forging new ones to grow the business.   • MAC proud to play a part in successful school science week
    Science week is an annual event at Gilcolmstoun School and this year saw its greatest success yet with the involvement for the first time of business link partner Maritime Assurance & Consulting (MAC). The aim is to expand the knowledge of the children and understanding of science involving the whole school through a number of activities throughout the week - including a day that saw children carrying out experiments with one of our naval architects - as the school works towards achieving its Primary Science Quality Mark silver award.   • MAC strides ahead with 2014 Healthy Working Lives silver award
    Following the success of achieving bronze in 2013, less than a year later MAC aims to achieve its silver Healthy Working Lives award. This continues our efforts in ensuring that a healthier workforce really does make for a healthier business. Silver activities include healthy eating initiatives, health awareness training, various team builders and health campaigns.
