  • MAC achieves coveted workplace award
    MAC is delighted to have gained the bronze award under NHS Scotland's Healthy Working Lives programme, which encourages employers to promote a healthier workforce across a wide range of topics - from health promotion, occupational health and safety and mental health to community involvement, health and the environment. Our team has been involved in everything from a work step challenge and smoothie day to a kiltwalk and Segway team-building event. MAC is already working towards the silver award, with many exciting new initiatives planned for 2014. Read more ...

  • MAC earns national recognition
    MAC has been named in the top five of a prestigious index of the best new British businesses - the 2013 Startups 100 index. Graeme Reid, managing director of MAC, said: "The Startups 100 index is incredibly diverse, both geographically and in terms of the industries represented, and there was very strong competition. For MAC to feature in the top five of all start ups in the past three years is tremendous recognition of the hard work of everyone who has played a part in the company's growth and innovation so far."   • MAC records most successful financial year yet
    MAC has enjoyed its busiest financial year yet, recording a 27% growth in revenue compared to last year. The DP offering has grown consistently with global success, with a high volume of work in the naval architecture side of the business and the newly launched marine consulting area going from strength to strength. Our sister MAC Resourcing recruitment company has also recorded substantial growth over the past twelve months. Read more ...

    MAC is delighted to announce that it has been successful in achieving its bronze award under the Healthy Working Lives (HWL) initiative coordinated by the NHS. The scheme helps employers to create a safer, healthier and more motivated workforce and offers practical information and advice to help improve health and safety and the wellbeing of everyone at work.     The business awards season is upon us and both MAC and MAC Resourcing have been involved with two key events taking place this June in Aberdeen - as a key sponsor at the annual cHeRries awards, which aim to recognise achievements in human resources, recruitment and training in north-east Scotland - and MAC sponsoring the local Trend 'Life with Style' awards.   • Ewan inspires Dad's Archie Marathon Appeal
    2013 brings a new challenge to MAC's Ian Stewart, who has signed up to run the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2013. Inspired by the care provided to his son Ewan, Ian is running in support of the Archie Foundation, which makes a real difference to the lives of sick children in the North of Scotland the Islands, setting himself the fundraising target of £3,000. MAC is running various initiatives to help raise funds, with staff supporting Ian with this challenge. Read more ...
